Right media is our Right! August 24-31, Tsaghkadzor, Armenia

On August 24th-31st 2013 four IUS members Anastasiya Prychynenko, Tetiana Lisitsa, Vitalii Popovych and Max Ostapenko from Ukraine took part in an exciting training course “Right Media is Our Right” in picturesque Tsaghkadzor, Armenia.
Together with 26 other participants from Italy, Georgia, Armenia, Latvia, Czech Republic they had a chance to learn more about social media and its role in creation of public opinion. During the intense 6-day triaining full of discussions, working groups and meetings with local media representatives the participants reflected on media perceptions in their countries through giving some examples and cases related to demonstrations of disinformation from media.
At the intercultural evening Ukrainians presented traditional sweets and drinks from our country, taught a dancing class and challenged the group with a quiz about Ukraine. During the sightseeing day the participants were lucky to travel to Armenia’s most exciting tourist destinations and visit the ancient temple in Garni, monumental Geghard monastery and end their day with swimming in Sevan lake.
