“Edges of Exclusion” 22 – 30 April 2013, Aghveran, Armenia
Friday May 10th, 2013
Olexandr Melnyk, Mykhaylo Hevko have been involved in the project ”Edges of Exclusion” – a Seminar on methodology of integration of youth with FEWEST opportunities.
This Seminar was very well organized by Armenian NGO with a very long name: International Center for Intercultural Research, Learning and Dialogue (ICIRLD).
The main objective of the project was to provide a platform for in depth reflection and discussion on the issues of social exclusion in Europe and to the roots of xenophobia and discrimination in this scope. Among the participants were many heads of NGOs and several volunteers who have just started their social activities. Rich experience of some participants on the one hand and curiosity of newcomers on the other hand provided a good teamwork.
You will not believe, but we have built bridges, were interviewed for a job, turned into Aboriginal and members of various tribes, and in the end we rose to Olympus in white Greek togas. It’s impossible to forget those beautiful spring days that passed among the snowy peaks of Armenia!
